Present MDPR Employment Responsibilities:
Implementation, scheduling and managing the MDPR county-wide sports development program with major emphasis on track & field.? Serves as liaison between MDPR and various national sports governing entities.? Responsible for developing and maintaining corporate relationships with potential corporate sponsors.? Developed and implemented staff training programs through workshops, clinics and study materials.? Developed various in-service staff training sports development program manuals and training modules.
Responsible for the development, organization, implementation and management of the county-wide Miami-Dade Parks sports development program.? Responsible for the implementation and management of a road race circuit that includes annual Turkey Trot (3000 entrants).? Implements and manages staff training sessions in the utilization of track & field related computer technology and general rules and procedures governing the sport.? Responsible for the implementation and management of the county-wide sports development program budget.
Responsible for the research, preparation and submission of bid documents and grant proposals and related information from various organizations and corporations in an on-going effort to procure and manage major amateur sporting events in Miami-Dade County.
Serves as liaison to various statewide, national and international organizations in an on-going effort to generate interest in allowing MDPR to host major events that have positive economic effects and tourist impact.? Establishes and maintains corporate relationships to enhance the financial portfolios of established events/programs.
Serves as liaison between MDPR and the general public and community based organizations (CBO?s) regarding the departmental sports development program.
Confers on regular basis with individualized staff and related personnel in planning the effectiveness and future development of MDPR sports development programs.? Supervises office and various staff.
Determines the necessity of purchasing event and/or program specific equipment.? Trains staff in the utilization of equipment and track & field related computer technology.? Maintains department inventory of track & field equipment (valued at approx. 130k).
Serves as Project Coordinator and Event Manager for major track & field and other amateur sporting events hosted by MDPR upon awarding of the events by various governing organizations.
